JOB DESCRIPTION
Radio Quality Engineer required to conduct network performance
quality/health check, collection of drive around data, analysis of drive
test data and generation of performance reports.
You will conduct testing of radio network features and network element
software, system functionality testing and quality of service verification.
You will provide inputs and assist in maintaining high leve of KPI and QoS
from the field.
Conducting drive around test, before and after any changes made in the
network to verify that the objectives of planned changes have been
achieved. Testing of radio network performance against any software
upgrade/ loading of patches/ Hardware change or upgrade/ New TRX or New
cell site added or removed from the network/ new features activated related
to BSS / NSS / GPRS / MMS / VAS etc.
Quality of service testing, monitoring, analyzing, Benchmarking and
reporting.
Collection of stats from field and correlating it with network/ cell KPIs,
monitoring of network performance on routine basis, performing drive around
test to confirm the network/ cell performance.
Quality testing after integration of new sites, scanning data collection
for the site or cluster of sites. Coordinate the activities with other
departments and colleagues from the field during testing.
Post processing and study of collected data, transform the data in to
report format, document the stats and reports. Study and analysis of radio
parameters.
To provide real time feedback from the field regarding the pilot testing of
new features and critical software upgrades
Proactively monitoring and testing radio network quality and performance on
routine basis as per directives from Supervisor/ Manager- document the
reports and findings, escalate the issue for resolution. Study the network
performance and quality – correlating the issues with parameters or
possible faults, testing and verifications.
The key responsibility for this role is to collect stats/ data from field
and performance tool, study and analysis of stats, producing performance
reports on regular basis and monitoring of key performance indicators.
Immediate escalation of ambiguities/ critical issue for corrective actions.
System functionality testing and Quality of service verification. The
quality of this work will impact on system performance, the ability to meet
expanding customer demands and ultimately, profitability.
We seek candidates with a very solid background in Radio Network
Engineering, particularly in Planning & Optimization. Candidates with a
background working in Quality Department is required.
High degree of skills in TEMS and other test equiment is required.
Vast degree of experience on NOKIA and/or Ericsson equipment is required.
Knowledge of Arabic is a bonus but not essential.
