Optimization Engineer - Tabuk City

JOB PURPOSE
Monitoring the Performance of Mobile Network in terms of quality and
traffic behaviour. Accordingly, optimizing measures are to be taken in
order to enhance the radio performance, and meet the targeted Key
Performance Indicators.

KEY RESULT AREAS

•Monitoring Key Performance Indicators and implementing
performance-enhancing solutions based on such analysis ( C )
•Monitoring the KPIs after each parameter change or major activity on
the network e.g. implementing new nodes, BSCs, etc ( C )
•Observing the BSC performance in the assigned geographical jurisdiction ( C )
•Assisting the planning team in the process of network expansions by
either requesting optimization sites, or presenting the statistical
behaviour of traffic along with the anticipated trends of subscribers'
growth ( O )
•Evaluation of Mobile Station drive-tests data, along with other
system monitoring tools, on proposed locations along with existing
coverage areas ( C )
•Analysis of log files in regards of performance parameters such as
quality, signal strength, handover decisions, and call drops ( C )
•Identifying any errors in the implemented BCCH, BSIC, and frequency
channel groups ( F )
•Communicating with the OMC regarding optimization procedures as well
as trouble shooting strategies ( O )
•Improving knowledge of implemented network features, and staying
up-to-date with new technologies in order to provide technical support
in the evaluation of bids, and participate in vendor negotiations. ( F
)
•Providing professional direction to subordinates, and reviewing their
performance in order to ensure a maximum work efficiency ( F )
Skills

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
•Academic Qualification: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/ Electronics/
Telecom Engineering and 5 years of experience in related field.
•Fluent in English
•Self-motivated character/ Initiative
•Excellent analytical skills
•Good personal/ inter-personal communication skills
•Possessing good quality of team-work
