UMTS RF Design/Optimization Engineers (All Levels)

Our client is looking for a group of UMTS RF Engineers to join their project assignments based in Texas, USA. Interested candidates are encouraged to apply online. Please specify the position level that you apply, i.e. RFUM3 / RFUM2 / RFUM1. Details kindly refer to the following requirements.
UMTS RF Design/Optimization Engineers (All Levels) (Others - Texas, USA)

Requirements:

* UMTS RF ENGINEER - EXPERIENCED LEVEL (RFUM3)
* Minimum three (3) year of recent experience in Radio network design, implementation and tuning/optimization on WCDMA systems.
* Must worked on 3 or more tuning/optimization project
* Past Leadership experience in at least One UMTS project
* Experience in working with different RAB services - CS, PS and HSDPA
* Detailed understanding of the link budget
* Understanding of signalling in between different interface specially Uu, Iub, Iur, Iu-C and Iu-P
* Experience in tuning a loaded network
* Understand the difference between artificial and real traffic loading
* Detailed understanding of Layer 3 messaging
* Able to collect and analyze drive data and performance statistics
* Able to make technical recommendations to improve the system performance
* For Design, able to make changes to optimize the design
* For tuning/optimization, able to make parameter changes, feature activation based on both Drive Test and statistical data
* Have used the planning tools such as Aircom Asset3G, Planet EV
* Familiar with model tuning
* Excellent Communication skills and leadership capabilities
* Have used the ACP (Automatic Cell Planning) tool, preferably RadioPlan, Arieso
* Detailed understanding of optimization tools such as TEMS, Actix, Agilent
* Able to perform systems and acceptance tests for UMTS to ensure the deliverables meet the project requirements
* Proficient with MapInfo
* Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
* Able to coordinate activities of multiple drive teams and engineers acts as single point of contact




* UMTS RF ENGINEER - INTERMEDIATE (RFUM2)
* Have both WCDMA Design and tuning/optimization experience for 2 years
* Good Communication skills and leadership capabilities
* Meets majority of requirements of RFUM3, but not all




* UMTS RF ENGINEER, BEGINNER (RFUM1)
* Minimum One (1) years of recent experience in Radio network design, implementation and/or optimization on WCDMA system.
* Able to collect and analyze drive data and performance statistics for WCDMA system
* Able to make technical recommendations to improve system performance (Design changes, parameter settings, feature activation based on both Drive Test data and stats, and etc.)
* Good knowledge of OSS
* Good knowledge of radio network features
* Able to perform systems and acceptance tests for WCDMA to ensure the deliverables meet the project requirements
* Have basic understanding of how to use the following tools and software
* TEMS Investigation
* Planning tools such as TEMS Cell Planner, Asset 3G
* Good Communication skills
* Proficient with MapInfo
* Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
* Able to coordinate activities of multiple drive teams, acts as single point of contact for drive teams
