ANALYST, SYSTEMS
Dimension & Scope:
Responsibilities include designing developing implementing maintaining and writing programs (may include CTI and IVR programs) determining feasibility time and cost estimation. This position may temporarily serve as a group/team leader or be asked to perform programming tasks.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Analyze and interpret business requirements to technical specifications from a business stance to determine how the user will utilize the system.
- Analyze existing applications systems and programming logic problems and, where necessary, revise the logic and procedures.
- Design and write programs in accordance with client specifications. Perform unit tests and final analysis on test results of projects before release to Quality Assurance testing. Produce and maintain program documentation.
- Provide on-call product support. Write technical specifications for Associate, Programming/Analysis. Analyze and provide corrective action for program problems and establish orderly maintenance procedures for systems.
- Investigate and research system environments (i.e., reporting systems, switching systems, computer systems, etc.) to assist in resolving existing program problems or identifying solutions to new business requirements.
- Prepare charts, tables and diagrams to assist in analyzing problems and new business opportunities.
- Participate in training programs to stay in tune with new technologies and methods to increase productivity and efficiency. May serve as a project leader.
Education & Professional Certifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in related technical discipline
- 4 years relevant experience or Master’s Degree in related technical discipline; and
- Min of 2 years relevant experience or min. 6 years relevant experience without college degree
Candidate Profiles:
- Experience preferred in large project environment, specializing in programming and analysis
- Must have proficiency in relevant programming and control languages, analytical skills and thorough knowledge of standards and practices
- Expertises desired are Core JAVA, UNIX, Shell Scripting, Sys Admin.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills are required
- Must have proficiency with various software applications programs including Lotus Notes, Microsoft Word, and Excel Strong analytical skills Customer service and detail oriented Environment.
- Confident, mature and able to take pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Conversant English of both verbal and written
