RF ENGINEERS (6 months contract)

Responsibilities:
JOB PURPOSE
To perform GSM / WCDMA RF Network Planning and Optimization for Indoor
cellular networks.
To plan and optimize 3G Networks through the following activities:
Dimensioning / Planning of 3G indoor cellular networks
Design indoor network layout through the use of link budgets and the
recommendation of network architecture and components
Pre-design site survey to assess condition / layout of building environment
Collection of measurement data after installation of network and
before handing over to customer
Compilation of engineering reports during the design process
Ensure that Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) of the network are met
through optimization processes
Carry out optimization and acceptance test using NEMO or Ericsson TEMS
Meeting customers to resolve technical issues
Recommend suitable network architecture for the indoor network
Recommend network parameter and configuration changes during
optimization process
Recommend procedure and routines for optimization network
Meeting customer's specified KPIs for the network
Meeting project time schedules
Ability to interface and interact with customers on technical issues
and resolve them to the customers' satisfaction
Requirements:
Qualification
Diploma / Degree in Telecommunications, Electrical or Electronics with
majors in
RF or Wireless Communications Experience
At least 2 years relevant experience in the wireless (GSM) industry
1 year experience in an indoor cell planning role for 3G (WCDMA)
Experience in planning indoor networks through the use of link
budgets, and familiarity with indoor infrastructure components
Prior experience in using measuring tools e.g. NEMO or Ericsson TEMs
will be an advantage
Fresh graduates may be considered
Certifications/Others
Test Measurement Tools (Drive test tools, spectrum analyzers, scanners
and power meters)
Good analytical skills
Ability to communicate effectively
Excellent team work and interpersonal skills
