Qualification of candidate:
At least 5 years experience in GSM networks and Telecommunications.
Has an in-depth understanding of the architecture of NW and
environment (IN/VAS, BSS, NSS); has an in-depth insight into Core NW
design and planning, optimisation and upgrading of transmission
links, network nodes, configuration , technical requirements and
equipment related to IN/VAS, capacity planning, parameters, routing
and interfaces, keeps up to date with new features and traffic
channels related to IN/VAS.
Necessities for job:
1. To define the core network architecture
2. Defining the target network capability set through analyzing
commercial requirements versus capabilities offered by supplier
3. Develop business cases for capability upgrades (new S/W releases
etc) and to translate the outcome of this in upgrade projects.
4. To provide high-level and detailed design for these projects
5. To make sure that all changes are implemented minimising risk for
the live network and preventing as much as possible a negative
service impact.
6. To hand-over the result of these projects to Operations
7. To undertake IN/VAS Network capacity planning and design
8. Analyzing current network performance and traffic evolution in
combination with information regarding future growth
9. To plan network capacity and translate this in network extension
projects
10. Developing high-level and detailed designs for these extensions
11. To set up capacity extension projects and to manage these project
12. To ensure the best IN/VAS NW Service performance and optimisation
13. Analyze network performance by analyzing trouble tickets and
performance statistics and translate this into network changes
14. To configure basic parameters of the IN/VAS Network Elements.
15. To plan network capacity and translate this in network change
projects
16. To set up these change projects and to manage them.
17. To participate as a team member to achieve established
departmental objectives:
18. Working in close liaison with colleagues to ensure the highest
standard in service delivery; sharing knowledge to improve and
optimise NW that meets operational requirements.
19. Becoming a trusted expert/advisor/problem solver regarding to
IN/VAS Network.
20. Ensuring good communication with other related departments,
(external) constructors and services providers.
21. Reporting any issues and problems to the supervisor; making
suggestions to optimise work process.
22. Updating documentation.
